Hey there! Welcome again to another chapter of my food blog!

Our last gastronomic adventure was all about some of the ‘must-try’ restaurants in Park Street, Kolkata. However, that was for the main courses. Now, it’s dessert time!

But first, do you recall my deal? Anything but ordinary! So, like my prior blog, I’ll pass on the generic selections! As a result, with a heavy heart, I’ve omitted mishti doi and roshogolla off this list in order to focus on some uncommon desserts that will transport you to a sweet paradise!

And following that guideline, I’ve mentioned some of the best restaurants in Park Street, Kolkata, serving some of the most irresistible desserts that can be a delight to your sweet tooth! And before we begging, let me tell you that I’ve tried all the options I’ve jotted down here and none of the items have disappointment me so far!

Best Desserts to Try in Park Street, Kolkata

Olterra

As a new-age Bengali, I love to break stereotypes in general! So, I want to start this list with a not-so-Bengali dessert that I absolutely loved on my visit to Olterra.

Olterra, in Greek, means “The Land of Beer.” It’s one of the brand-new establishments nestled in the heart of the City of Joy. A picturesque place based on the essence of Greek mythology, you’re sure to love the ambience at every turn!

Now, coming to the dessert part. The Egyptian Baklava with Vanilla is going to steal your heart for sure! Or, if you’re up to try something totally new, the Tiramisu Cake and the Valencia Orange Kulfi are great options to give your palate a taste of haven!

Naturals Ice Cream

Any ice cream lovers reading this? Well, Naturals Ice Cream is a dedicated dessert place, and has a high chance of being your most-loved dessert place in the Park Street area!

From softies to gelatos, to artisan ice creams, this place can literally feel like the most diverse ice cream corner you’ll ever see in the heart of Kolkata!

Added to that, you are going to get spoilt for choices with the number of flavour varieties they have to offer. What’s even better, is their No Sugar Added ice creams that are specially curated for the ones who like to count their calories!

Zen

Zen is one of the best fine-dining restaurants in Kolkata, and I’ll second that statement without a doubt. The sophisticated ambience, along with the mind-blowing delicacies, are sure to offer you one of the most wholesome experiences in your gastronomic journey!

Another reason to visit Zen is because of the desserts that this place serves! Also, a special shoutout to the creamy-licious Tanuki Cheesecake. It’s a must-try Japanese dessert if you’re visiting, and I guarantee you that you’ll not regret my choice!

Other than that, the Chocolate Mud Pie is a Zen special signature dish, that’s unique and can leave you craving for more! If you’re a chocoholic, remember, it’s an utter sin to miss this delicacy after a hearty Pan Asian meal at one of the best places for lunch in Kolkata.

Burma Burma

How about experiencing the taste of Burma without even heading towards Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport?! Well, it’s possible if you come down to Burma Burma, the Burmese-style restaurant located at the famous Stephen Court building on Park Street.

Right from soups to main courses to desserts, Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room is one of the best places to eat in Kolkata, that lets you have a holistic experience, gastronomically! But, let’s just stick to our category of choice today- desserts.

First of all- they serve vegan-friendly items! So, if anyone having issues with animal cruelty walks in, don’t worry, they have you covered! Second of all, the oh-so-wow desserts are absolute lip-smacking material! Try the Street Style Burmese Faluda to give your palate a unique and flavourful twist of the traditional Faluda you’re used to!

Or, if you want something different, the Apple & Hazelnut Crumble is one of their best International desserts that can rob you off your senses! Other than that, they also serve an array of vegan-friendly artisanal ice creams that you can opt for to satisfy your sweet tooth.

To Conclude

You’re not a true Bengali if you don’t have a sweet tooth! And being a professional food blogger, I feel it’s my responsibility to introduce to my fellow Kolkatans to some of the most unique and flavorful desserts that can serve their palate!

The above article is an exhibit of some of the best desserts that I’ve personally tried and tasted. This is to make sure that if you’re in Park Street looking for dessert places the next time, you know which places you’re going to try!
